Humlebæk is a small town on the Øresund coast north of Copenhagen, and on any route it means one thing: the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, on the shore a short walk from the station. The museum puts it 35 km north of Copenhagen and 10 km south of Helsingør, and gives the train as about 40 minutes from Copenhagen Central with several direct departures an hour, all read on louisiana.dk on 1 November 2026.

The walk from the station is 1,133 m on OpenStreetMap footpaths, 15 minutes at 80 m a minute; the museum says 10–15. By car the coast road, Strandvejen, is the slow, scenic way and the E47/E55 motorway the fast one; OSRM gives 38.8 km and about 35 minutes from Copenhagen's Rådhuspladsen, computed the same day. There is a free car park at the museum entrance and another at the old inn, Gl. Humlebæk Kro, just north, plus four charging points at the end of Gammel Strandvej. Bicycles can be hired by the station, the museum notes, and need their own ticket on the train.

Quiet time is a weekday morning just after the 11:00 opening; the long Tuesday-to-Friday evenings, to 22:00, are the other good window. On Mondays the museum is shut and there is little reason to stop. Helsingør and Kronborg are 10 minutes further up the line.
