Deildartunguhver is a hot spring beside road 50 in Reykholtsdalur that Krauma, the baths built next to it, describes as Europe's most powerful, with about 180 litres of 100°C water a second. The spring itself is a boardwalk and a wall of steam and takes fifteen minutes; the baths beside it take an afternoon.

It is a short detour on the drive from Borgarnes towards Reykholt, Hraunfossar and Húsafell: about 36 km and 33 minutes from Borgarnes (OSRM on OpenStreetMap). Krauma gives the distance from Reykjavík as 97 km. According to Krauma, its six pools (five warm, one cold) take water from the spring cooled through heat exchangers, with no chemicals added.

Read today on krauma.is: the baths and restaurant are open Monday to Sunday 11:00 to 21:00; 24 and 31 December 11:00 to 16:00; closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Adults 17 and over 7,900 ISK, teens 13–16 4,160 ISK, children 0–12 500 ISK, seniors 67+ and disabled 5,790 ISK. Stay on the boardwalk at the spring: the water comes out at boiling point.
